Cody author Laura Bell will be here with her new memoir, Claiming Ground. By turns cattle rancher, forest ranger, wife, and mother, Bell vividly recounts her struggle to find solid earth in which to put down roots. Brimming with careful insight, her story is a heart-wrenching ode to the rough, enormous beauty of the western landscape.

The release date is March 9, and we will be having a big release party a few days later (Friday, March 12). Laura will be joined by Red Lodge author Mark Spragg, and they'll sign books here at the store for a couple of hours, and then we'll move a block down the road to the Elks Club for snacks, readings, drinks, and general gaiety.

Can't Make It?

Stop by or give us a call in advance. If you pre-order books, we'll have Laura sign and personalize them for you while she's here, and you can pick them up at your leisure (personalized books must be prepaid).
